Drawn to Play is contemporary UK-based illustrator Chris Carr who spends his working life with a range of clients whilst leaving time for his personal projects across print, illustration, font, and fine art with a particular focus on character-based creations.

'Beautiful but ugly’ is the phrase Chris employs to describe his illustrations, most of which combine the divine with the macabre, drawing from childhood memories, global icons and a boundless, surreal imagination.

Working spontaneously with a variety of mediums he loves nothing more than indulging himself in some studio time to dive into the sketchbooks and feed his passion for exciting and creative imagery.
